Dr. Gabriella Imbriano, Ph.D.

Dr. Imbriano (she/her/hers) is a licensed (PSY34504) clinical psychologist in California. Her approach to psychotherapy is integrative, collaborative, and client-centered. She focuses on each client’s goals, values, and strengths to effectively conceptualize a treatment plan that meets the needs of her clients in a timely manner. She specializes in the treatment of trauma and stressful life events, and also has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, phobias, OCD, adjustment disorders, relationship challenges, and related concerns. Dr. Imbriano earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Stony Brook University (Ranked #3 nationally in Clinical Psychology by US News). She completed her predoctoral clinical psychology residency at VA Palo Alto Health Care System and continued her training as a postdoctoral fellow in the Sierra Pacific Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center at VA Palo Alto Health Care System & Stanford University School of Medicine. Through her training, she has specialized in delivering integrative cognitive behavioral therapies and fosters an in-session atmosphere of openness, safety, and support with each of her clients.

  • GIP offers individual therapy sessions for a range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), adjustment disorder, relationship challenges, grief and loss, as well as other concerns.

  • GIP clinicians have extensive training in interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), prolonged exposure (PE), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), exposure therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), brief psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), & motivational interviewing (MI).
